I made it to that concert.  It was the day I got to the UK after 40 hours of
planes & trains direct from NZ so my critical faculties may have been a bit
blurred.  I thought the 2nd half (Kellner, Weiss, St Luc) worked a little
better than the French in the first half.  A number of mistakes but some
nice playing overall. The Weiss prelude to finish with was very fine. The
Holywell music room is a great venue.  The lute sounded very fine there. And
of course Oxford was a wonderful place to be in general.  Also thanks to
those who emailed me about lutish things to do.
