Sounds fine to me. Regarding timing, lute and harpsichord players often adjust the immediacy of their plucking action by delaying the beat slightly. I've had to do this deliberately on many occasions. For instance, with strings - they start bowing, THEN the note appears. When we pluck, it jumps out immediately. The consequence is that we sound early compared to everyone else. I'm not sure if this is what you are referring to, David, when you talk about lute players being the last to the bar - or are you saying we are still trying to figure out the figures? That happens too ;-)
