Dear Lutenists:
Salut! My Bass Renaissance Lute from Luciano Faria has arrived, I have
hung it with silk draping and a gold flower medallion over my big comfortable
writing and composing chair. The carvings are very beautiful and with a little
peg paste I have begun to find some most wonderful sounds. I tried tuning the
Lute to D# however, the plants started to wilt so I decided to tune it to a
straight D chord. Very exciting . . . we will be serving cake summarily, to
welcome the new Lute to the family,
