I think both the audio and the video are good--youtube is a bit of a random event when uploading, sometimes it takes a few tries to get them to code everything properly.
The audio is always severly degraded and it affect lutes particularly adversely. There is some noise in your sound, and it is hard for me to discern what it is--perhaps the microphone is adding some noise. It has an electret sort of sound. Perhaps it is the eq--if you are working in 16 bit there is a cumulative effect with the successive filters. I usually upload in H.264 video with 320 kbs audio--if you have a mac you can do this all in quicktime If you must stay with free software check out the audio/video linux distros--they should run on a Mac and they have some very fine processing tools. Or you can just get a simple editor that uses 32 bit float--Peak LE at about $80 Also opting for 4:3 is good choice, I love widescreen but it doesn't look great on you tube, you don't need it for baroque lute. If you post your video at IFILM it usually comes out in stereo which sounds noticeably better. I cross post at Stage6, Ifilm and youtube--sort of the three bears. But youtube is the elephant in the room, no question. dt To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
