How about a 'lutenist recumbent' - on a 'vert ground'. (green background?)
No mullet - (men's hairstyle of the 1980's) Not in fashion then, or now!
The sheep might be stretching it a bit too far, - though I guess it would
represent gut by doing just that.
I like the idea of a curly belt bearing this motto. No buckle though - just
a buttonhole at one end!
A border of Yew leaves, to represent the wood of choice.
Interspersed with cherubim and seraphim to represent the angelic sound.
A chevron maybe, - of six lines to represent tablature. Screw-head fixings,
but no nails!

It seems a lot to ask for a simple lapel-badge...

BTW I do understand the mullet. It was used in a coat-of-arms in ancestry
on my mother's side. A sort of flower (daisy?) with six-petals set in a
circle.

This has become an interesting diversion, without digressing too far off
topic!

Oh you just had to ask about heraldry didn't you. This is a topic I know
considerably more about I do Greek. Just give me a few days and I'll come up
with a suitable blazon. I'm thinking a sheep's head couped or a yew tree
blasted or something along those lines. Hmmmm. Now you've done it. Maybe
something along the lines of the Scottish badges with a charge surrounded by
a belt bearing the motto. I could even cast those up in pewter. Oh dear, oh
my.

Sic semper gloria nervis. (I just know Mathias is going to correct me on
that one).
