perhaps not from a peat bog, but there is an ongoing market in wood
salvaged from the depths of the great lakes, sunk enroute to the sawmill
and left there for decades.  Some nice big logs too, 24-30 inch wide
willow is both rare and expensive these days.  As I recall, the surviving
clarsarchs are all wider than 13 inches.
