This won't help for Fronimo, but if you are on a Mac (10.4 or later, maybe even 10.3, I don't remember) and are having a problem like this, you can save the file as a PDF-X. Choose File->Print and when the print dialog appears pick "Save as PDF-X" from the PDF popup menu (bottom left). This will create a PDF, run a script to convert it to PDF-X and ask you where to save it.
PDF-X is still a legal PDF with a .PDF filename extension, but it's a stricter subset that pre-press people use. Among other things it forces it to embed the fonts so a person who doesn't have the fonts you used on their computer can still open it properly.
