I think there may be a ballot question coming up this Nov. here in
Massachusetts.

I, too, tend to hang onto most strings, especially since I'm dealing with about
a dozen exotic instruments and need a variety of lengths, from about 60 inches
for my gu qin to about 24 for my moon lute. However, I don't have that many,
since I, too, never change my strings.

Oh, and my organization is non-existent.

Best,
C.

This is an incredibly difficult question, made more difficult in New
England where we've never gotten over the difficulty of defining when
a string is too short to be saved. (Apologies to Donald Hall.)
