I'm afraid this is only really addressed to makers in Europe, but it is the
easiest way to pass the message.

I've just been contacted by a friend in Northern Brittany who has between 6 and
7 m3 of yew trunks that he would like to sell. They are from 30 to 60 cm in
diameter and are not hollow. I have not seen them, as I live quite a bit
further south, but from what I know of him, I have no reason to doubt their
soundness.

I cannot imagine that any individual maker would be interested in this much raw
wood, but if you have any ideas about how to shift it, I am his intermediary.
As a matter of interest some of you may know of him - Raoul Le Chenadec of the
Ensemble Jachet de Mantoue among other things. Handy as he is with wood, he is
not an instrument maker, and I would like to help him if possible.

Thanks in advance

Tony
