I'm not sure what the "it" in your question is.

When Ensemble Chanterelle consisted of Sally Sanford, Cathy Liddell  
and Kevin Mason, their basic setup was voice, theorbo in A and  
theorbo in D.  That was a while ago.

Linda Sayce says on her web site that she plays a lot of continuo on  
a 76cm theorbo in D.
