Ferrabosco set "The Expiration" as "So, so, leave off this last lamenting kisse" (the seventh song in his book). I just did a web search and found this irritatingly tantalizing feature about Donne's poetry in songs: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/was- john-donne-the-cole-porter-of-his-time-491049.html It will tell you: > By searching music manuscripts in the British Library and the > Bodleian in Oxford, Holmes found 10 settings of Donne's verse made > by some of the leading English composers of his day, including John > Dowland, Orlando Gibbons, Alfonso Ferrabosco and William Corkine. > But gets no more specific than that. -- To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
