Thanks, Bernd - I thought of our previous conversation about this piece when I chose it - it seemed so obvious that I should "publish" it, with the evidence of its derivation from the motet.

The lute is my old Gerle, made in 1985, string length 60cm, strung entirely in gut with a Larson Pistoy 5th course and Stoppani Realgut 6th, octaves on courses 4-6.
