Hi everybody,
I'm currently making a 6 course lute based on the Gerle model.
I'm now making the top, and have been planning to make the bridge.
I want to make this "flower ends" model, but the blueprint I have
doesn't give a lot of explanations about the flowers themselves. I know
at least different patterns of flowers made by modern makers, but i
wanted to look at the original bridge.
Surprinsingly, I failed in finding a good picture of the gerle bridge in
every book I looked in, and Internet did'nt help anymore. Does anyone
know where I could find such a picture ? ( Unfortunately, I'm not
considering going to Vienna for next months just to look at the Original
Gerle lute ;-) ....)
