Very interesting. I see shoulder problems and maybe a pinched cranial 
nerve in that guy's "future" (1519?) but the actual hand position 
resembles Valentin Bakfark's hand position on his big lute on the 
cover illustration for one of his books. I've known several lutenists 
considerably mas gordo than him. Great faces.
