With reference to Omer's Henry VIII tour and with my early modernist
   historical hat on.

As it is the 500th anniversary of Henry's accession this year there is
plenty going on and I'm sure you already have a List, Omer, but at the
risk of stating the Obvious ... you should not miss:

The Tower of London (they have his armour, unless they have moved it
somewhere, like the Royal Armoury, hope not) and it did house many of
   those who displeased him.

Hampton Court (allow plenty of time as it takes some time to get to on
the outskirts of London and it's big).

Greenwich, because he was born there, and there's is also lots to see
there of a naval nature (relevant to him) but the interesting
structures are post-Henry. There are events there this year because of
the 500th anniversary of his accession

Plenty of ways to get to Greenwich from central London, but the best,
if longest, is by river (the way Henry would have gone), see

If you can, Eltham Palace (south London not too far from Greenwich)
because he spent a lot of his boyhood there, being educated under his
mother's direction. There is not much of the original to see (It had a
lavish Art Deco makeover last century, which is worth a look itself)
but the main hall is still there.

There is an exhibition at the British Library (right next door to St
Pancras station if you arrive by Eurostar) until September 'Henry VIII:
   Man and Monarch'

There is also a (free) display at the National Portrait Gallery about
Henry until July (behind the National Gallery in Trafalgar Square,
entrance in Charing Cross Road, also always more than well worth a
   visit).

If you had time for a day trip then Portsmouth, the Naval Museum and
   the Mary Rose.

Removing historical hat and retiring behind the Screen of Lurkdom
