Dear collective wisdom - especially the French one, could you possibly find out / recognise / remember, what is the model of one anonymous French baroque theorbo arr.? It is a piece in ms. Res-1106, fol. 30r, Bibl. National, Paris. The name looks like something like "Ma mere Marie moy".
You can see te text (and the theorbo tab) in http://www.cs.helsinki.fi/u/wikla/mus/Tiorba/Res1106/MaMereF30.pdf and if you can stand my "y-tubes", you can also hear my (modest) version in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJTQCa672rM Any ideas? I suppose it could be some kind of "getting married" song? So it could have been popular also after the times of Luis XIV? Thanks in advance, Arto To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
