   Well, my copy is excellent, I just cannot understand the letter shapes
   to form the words in Italian... The translation won't be an issue.

     As in: difficult letter shapes? (I certainly think so!) Find a
     specialist in 17th century (Italian) handwriting. Probably easy for
     them.
     Or in: bad copy? If so, I can send you a good scan. the SPES
     facsimile is good.
