Join the LSA, part of your membership benefits will be a listing of fellow members, maybe you will find someone in driving distance. Also look for other early music activity, Viola da Gamba Society, American Recorder Society. Nearby Universitys may have a music program, and perhaps a music library; you might find a collegium musicum who would welcome you as a volunteer. There are yearly LSA seminars with teachers and fellow players in abundance, many teachers will give lessons there (try to prearrange, announcements will list the faculty); and the seminar activities amount to lessons in themselves, tho not necessarily at the beginners level. Some of your experience on the guitar will apply, some will not. Most of us began with guitar. Welcome, and good luck. -- Dana Emery To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
