I work for BBC Radio 3 attached to the BBC Symphony Orchestra and early next year we have the wonderful Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt coming to give a concert of the Ravel G major piano concerto and to pepper this orchestral treat, she will be playing the solo Ravel Tombeau de Couperin alongside works by Couperin himself, including Les Baricades Misterieuses, which is one of my favourite pieces. I've played it through on the harpsichord but Angela's "transcription" of it for piano made me wonder whether there were any transcriptions of the piece for d-min lute? I've found two recordings of transcriptions for theorbo (Lynda Sayce on a Charivari Agrable disc and Yasunori Imamura) but my long-necked playing isn't up to scratch. Does anyone know of/have a transcription for d-min lute? (mine's 13-course) Best wishes, Peter To get on or off this list see list information at [2]http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html -- References 1. mailto:[email protected] 2. http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
