Dear all,

I would like to make you know that my CD with the soprano Valeria Mignaco
called "Clear or Cloudy" has been finally released. It is our first commercial
work together and it was recorded one and a half years ago for the Belgian
label "Musica Ficta".

We have created a restricted webpage were it is possible to listen to the whole
CD and I would like to share it with those of you that might be interested. Of
course it is still mp3-quality but I think it will be enough for you to get an
idea of it.

You can log into the page following this direct link were I have included the
username and password on the Url.

An all English lute song CD was not our idea. It was a requirement of the
record company. We love the repertoire and we have been performing it since
years but, as you can imagine, it is quite challenging and daring for a non
native English singer to record in a foreign language. This is specially true
in the case of Dowland songs!!! Valeria made a remarkable effort to overcome
this drawback taking many pronunciation lessons that I think they yielded good
results (obviously this is for you to judge and not me being also a non native
English speaker).

The instrument is a Venere copy made by Malcolm Prior with all gut strings by
Nicholas Baldock (first 3 courses), Aquila Venice (4th and 5th) and the
excellent new loaded Aquila strings on the 6th and 7th courses.

Of course I am open to any commentaries about it (both positive and negative)

I hope you enjoy it!

Greetings to all,

Alfonso

P.S. It is not my aim to make commercial publicity of the CD (that is why we
offer it free for you to listen) but if any of you like it and is interested in
purchasing it, it is directly available for sale from us at the following
