A question for those who have read Piccinini's (1623) preface about
   arpegiation.



    I have been trying to understand exactly what he means by "arpegiare"
   on the lute, but I'm surely missing the point (my Italian is also not
   that great).

   On the theorbo it is pretty clear that he is talking about the same
   technique we are aware of. However, on the lute it seems to be
   different ...
