Having just replaced all the frets on an instrument for the first time (buzzing problems) I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in the clarity of the sound of the instrument. A significant increase, unless my ears are mistaken. (Since I bought the instrument used, I don't know how long the old frets had been on). Thinking about it, this does make sense, the new frets being harder than the old worn frets. I'm wondering if performing players find it beneficial to change their frets often. . .
