Dear Chris

Find requested file attached (Bach's two part inventions in soprano
and bass clefs, if others want it too, send me a note. But know what
your asking for: ledger lines!), and see if you like this better.
Changing the soprano clef to tenor clef would help a little, but not
all. Two alto clefs would be best, but that's too far from daily
practice. I know my original file is a bit over the top in clef
changes, but I tried to stay within two ledger lines, and Bach does go
to extremes all the time. It's a roller coaster. Have a look and tell
me what you think.

On a side note. Playing Renaissance music from 'normal' notation is
all about changing clefs and not about reading ledger lines. Even
modern editions a Renaissance lutenist might encounter, be it
two-staves lute music, a written out continuo part or playing from a
vocal score, will ask for skills of changing between soprano, tenor
and bass clefs (and various alto clefs of course, as well as soprano
and bass clefs at different places, but let's start simple). Apart
from spending enjoyable hours with good music on ones music stand, my
arrangements were aimed at training soprano, tenor and bas clef
reading.
