I'm just listening to the CD samples now on that site.  Yes, it is an
   extraordinary sound, almost like metal strings.  And, of course, very
   reverberant.  Actually, I'm getting used to it.

   I have to assume that an artist of O'Dette's stature and experience has
   close hands-on control of his recordings.  In other words, he must have
   wanted the sound this way.  I wonder why?

   I'm amused to see on the Amazon page:

   a) that the CD is ready for despatch in one to two months. They must
   have sold out already.

   b) 'similar bestsellers' include the German heavy metal band The
   Scorpions
