The (UK) Lute society has just announced Vol 3 (!) of "Music for Lute Consort circa 1500" edited by Jon Banks. Banks has written a book with an elaborate argument that some of the textless chansons were composed specifically for plucked (and probably plectrum-plucked) trios. He says in the intro the the Lute Society editions that the music could be adapted for duo or solo. So here's a stab at Agricola's setting of DTBP as a duet: fingerstyle lute and plectrum 'gittern' from Volume 2.
