   Dana is right as far as I understand it.  The licensing agencies are
   currently out in full force in an effort to glean the last crumbs of
   the usual feast of revenue to which they are accustomed.  There was a
   feature article last week in the New York Times on this very issue only
   from the ASCAP perspective.  So-called Classical music is normally not
   in their domain unless one is using copyrighted editions or
   arrangements.  And it is my understanding that the performer indicates
   whether or not they are using said copyrighted editions or
   arrangements, and the burden of proof is on the licensing agency to
   discover a violation.
