Stuart, Thank you for your youtube post; I enjoyed it very much. Having just become a member of the Lute Society, I received both the April 2010 and the July 2010 music supplements to Lute News. I've read through April and am reading through July. Some of the pieces seem to me quite difficult - certainly nothing I would record without quite a bit of work, if then. But I am inexperienced enough that I'm still running into chords - or chords in certain configurations - that I haven't seen before.
I do like your idea of recording some of these pieces for others of us amateurs to hear, and hope you'll continue doing that.
