Of all the many chamber concerts with liuto obligato by Lauffensteiner
mainly the lute parts have survived until today. But there are two
exceptions
and these are printed in this edition. The Concerto a major for two lutes,
with its alternate version for Violin (Viol), Cello and Lute (now in
Augsburg)
is printed in facsimile as well as in modern transcription, also an edited
version for Flute (Violin) and Baroque Guitar. Also in modern transcription
the Concerto รก IV for Lute, two Viols and Cello (today in Brussels).
Contains
also an essay on Laufensteiners life (in german) by Michael Treder.
