To All:
This is slightly off-topic from the current thread but related in an
important way. I just received my copy of the Lute Society's color
facsimile of Dd. 2.11, a Christmas gift from Donna that was delayed due
to a change in our travel schedule over the holidays.
This is a fantastic reproduction and the inventory, background
information and critical notes are all first-rate. If you play the
lute and care about English repertory, you need this facsimile. An
effort of this quality needs to be supported.
Buy a copy and encourage the Lute Society to create more high quality
facsimiles. If you can afford it (you know who you are), buy several
copies and donate them to public and academic libraries. Considering
the amount of expert effort that went into creating this beautifully
reproduced annotated color facsimile, the Lute Society is practically
giving it away. Buy it.
