Just one further thought about the string thicknesses - the 6th course
is about twice the thickness of the third, which implies more or less
equal tension stringing, and the octaves are quite thin, which also
suggests a reasonable amount of tension on the thickest strings (because
with low tension basses, one might expect a higher tension octave as a
sort of compensation).
