You are probably talking about a pin vise, which is available from machinists supplies (and probably from Amazon.com). I've used an even simpler approach: wrap several turns of adhesive tape around the shaft of an appropriately sized drill. That's even skinnier than a pin vise and gives you enough grip to enlarge a bridge hole. Worked for me when I converted the basses on my Lundberg 8-course from wound strings to gimped gut.
