A word of caution, if you would, I was in Fussen and then Mittenwald, this past 
winter both with great museums that are well worth seeing, but, at both they 
had their plucked instrument exhibits removed for special shows. Neither had 
any mention of the situation on their web pages or on their literature. They 
may be back up now, but I would call ahead to make sure.
