                           Elaine Adair Mediaeval
                           Programme Scholarships

"My love for early music - and the earlier the better - goes
back over 40 years, as I was very fortunate to have Ross Duffin
(now a leading early music scholar, author and teacher) as my
classmate when I started university. In the years since, some of
my most pleasurable, thrilling and moving experiences have come
when listening to the extraordinary Benjamin Bagby and Sequentia
perform. I am very pleased and grateful to have a small part in
bringing them to Vancouver once again, to teach, excite and
          inspire talented musicians."
          - Elaine Adair

The Elaine Adair Mediaeval Programme Scholarship Fund will provide
full tuition, as well as accommodation & meals, for the two weeks of
the 2011 Mediaeval Programme. These special scholarships will be
awarded to 5 exceptional, highly motivated, trained vocalists and
instrumentalists, such as young professional musicians, university,
conservatory and college students; the selection will be based on
the evaluation and recommendations of the faculty members.
Those who wish to apply should include a request directed to the
Elaine Adair Scholarship Committee, c/o the office of the Vancouver
Early Music Programme, together with the completed Application
