The tune used as a tenor by Didier Lupi was very popular in the second half of
the 16th century and enjoyed a second career as a "timbre" for some Noëls
(Christmas carols) including this version by a monk from my home town, circa
1570 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guNWwkgugzM
With compliments from the bass lute player (myself ;-)
All the best,
Jean-Marie
