Every year, Voices of Music holds a competition for new or
up-and-coming artists in the field of Early Music performance.
This program is open to all singers and instrumentalists, including
lute and voice, and also for solo as well as continuo.

Winners are awarded a concert performance tailored to their best
repertory, and receive a multicam, professionally tracked HD video of
their performance, CDs and MP3s of the performance including a patch
session, and also a lightted, studio session with a professional photographer.
In addition, we help with streaming audio and video from their
websites and revise and reformat resumes and other promotional material.

Past winners have successfully used this EPK (Electronic Press Kit)
for Conservatory auditions, Job auditions, advertising, concert
promotion, and so on.

Anyone who is interested in applying for next year should visit our
website at www.voicesofmusic.org in the fall.

Here are the two winners from 2011, Tess Mattingly and Anne-Kathryn Olsen:

And also one of the winners from 2010 who is now in fifth place
overall (counting the last two years) on our youtube channel ( a very
successful video)

As the cost of the EPK would normally run thousands of dollars (just
a photo session can be very expensive), this can be a valuable
experience for new artists.
