Hi Hera

It would be a good idea to sign up to the forum
www.earlyguitar.ning.com . Amongst other things you will find scores which
members have edited in one way or another which makes them more accessible
than some of the original sources. - and lots of friends and general
information to help you on your way.

James Tyler's "A guide to playng the baroque guitar" has just been
publlished by Indiana University Press. It is not terribly expensive and is available from www.amazon.co.uk . This summarises the basic information about the instrument - notation, technique etc. and
has some attractive pieces with detailed notes on playing them. These are
not however intended for beginners. He has also written a book on the subject which you will see on Amazon.

Quite a few of us on this list and on the ning. site have websites with useful information - mine is www.monicahall.co.uk

Hope that is helpful for a start.

Good luck with it.

Monica
