Thank you all... I only discovered electronic-tuner handiness from my grandson when he used his app on his I-phone last month. I personally do not have a cell phone, by choice.
So, if I'm getting this, any 440 tuner would work by tuning every course a full step "low", then do a mind trick of telling yourself it's regular lute tuning? For example my lute would become, low to high, C, E-flat, F,B-flat, E-flat, G, C, F, which I would then convince myself it's still D, F, G, C, F, A, D, G in a=392? Wow... Perhaps just staying at a=415 is just fine... Garry -- To get on or off this list see list information at http://www.cs.dartmouth.edu/~wbc/lute-admin/index.html
