Dear lutenists, as we all know, a musical piece is a kind of story. It starts somewhere, it has its adventures, and it ends to some conclusion, or perhaps lack of conclusion. Anyhow, it is a story, a story without words. It is quite the same with pictures - paintings, photos, ..., pictures generally. Single pictures and sets of pictures form also a story in the same sense; a story most often without words.
Today we had exceptionally warm - actually the record of all the times measured here! - 30th of September. I took my camera to my evening walk, and took some photos. This is my story without words of our special today: https://picasaweb.google.com/114782807109183620580/SunSep302011 Choose Slideshow and then F11. You'll see "diapositives" in the old sense on the computer screen... Sorry, if this was too much "off topic", but to me pictures and music are much nearer to each other than words and written language are to neither...
