Ned might get a new email address of course and cancel the present
one - or say the hijacking by this company is not sooooooooooo harmful
to justify this serious action.

I suspect there's no way of blacklisting the sender without
blacklisting Ned too. List administrators have been trying for years
to overcome this sort of hijacking, but the spammers are always one (or
two) steps ahead.
One thing you should try, Ned, is changing your password (if that
hasn't already occurred to you).

PS Does anybody actually BUY stuff from a company that uses this sort
of tactic? Anybody with a grain of sense would not be sending their
credit card details to them.

By the way, How does it work that someone hijacks an email address?
Do
people do this with emails from lists (e.g. lute list with all those
rich possible customers and business partners...) thus they can send
emails to list members? So the company's spy has looked up the list
of
members and then selected Ned? Is that the procedure? Does anybody
know? Is there a not too expensive etc. way to protect a list from
such
hijackers?

Thanks for clearing that up. I assume they now know how to finger
Dowland's "Lachrimae" the way I do. Hope you're at least getting your
own emails.
