As an experienced presenter for students from K-12 to post-secondary on
music in referenced in Shakespeare, I have to say your lesson plan
entitled 'Lose the Lute!' is a loser. In an attempt to transcend and
create a modern context for the literary element, the lesson plan
thumbs its nose at the period music which, if understood and performed
engagingly and well, really enhances the dramatic action. If you want
to feature lesson plans that actually inform, entertain and create an
interest in Shakespeare's work, just ask an expert instead of offering
   this processed pablum.
