Mignarda Editions is pleased to announce availability of Angelique: Selected Lute Solos by Robert Ballard & Nicolas Vallet, a new performing edition of selected lute solos by Robert Ballard and Nicolas Vallet. The entirely new collection consists of some of the best music by both composers from diverse sources arranged by tonality for ease of performance. The music is for 10-course lute in renaissance tuning but all pieces can be played on an 8-course lute with minor adaptation of bass notes. Set in modern lute tablature with a period appearance, the book includes several pieces from Vallet's Regia Pietas (1620) that have not before appeared in modern edition. This new performing edition includes sixty-five pieces (less than 62 cents per piece), 70 pages of music, plus an introduction, performance notes and background information.
