After the horrific destruction done by the Germans in Warsaw in WW II,
the castle was reconstructed to such a wonderful state that it is
regarded as a world heritage by UNESCO.
In the king's dressing room there are many paintings, not necessarily
the original room decoration though.
One of them shows not less than 1 theorbo , 3 lutes and a baroque guitar
in a still life-
is that a record? :-)
No idea about the painter unfortunately, I didn't have the time to turn
every page in the enormous catalogue of paintings in the castle.
I'll write an e-mail, perhaps somebody will take the labours of finding
out the detals of the painting.
