I have some friends who have had a recorder ensemble for many years. Formerly 4 players. They lost one of their main players some years ago, and they would like to re-group as a trio with me playing Renaissance lute. They inherited a fine collection of Renaissance and Baroque recorders, in all sizes including Bass, crumhorns, zincs, and even a sakpipa and a cornemuse from the founder of the ensemble. Does anybody have suggestions for composers and / or specific pieces that would fit well with 3 recorders, etc. and lute? Dowland's Lachrimae, perhaps? (I know that's 5 parts - but ... leave one out maybe ... ? ) Thanks in advance, Tom
