And I have gratitude for your continued presentations of interesting music,

Last night I ordered Isbin's two solo collections from the Lute Society, in
part due to your fine performances of them.

I have performed some of Isbin's easy pieces and announced the movements before I started
each. I announced "Gift" and just a few notes into it I made some obvious
mistake, so I stopped and said 'I think I will re-Gift' and then started over. (Does that
joke translate beyond the US? Re-gifting here actually means to give as a gift something
a person had previously been given as a gift -- usually unwanted. I, of course, meant
that I would start over.) I liked that quip so much that I may deliberately make a
mistake if I perform it again.

Best wishes,

Thanks Rocky. And many thanks to Gilbert for his creative investment in our instrument.

I don't think the joke would make any sense at all to UK audiences!
