This little piece, although written by an Italian, sounds very English
to me. Noferi wrote more definitely Italianate things (like Sonata IV
from the same publication as this and in the unusual 'English' guitar
key of D minor) but perhaps he had an ear for what his middle class
English punters might have liked. Or maybe it's just the current fashion
of that time.
