About tuning in meantone: I've never been certain about what to call the
"home" note on a G Lute. If tuning to a note other than A, does the lute
need to be considered as a transposing instrument? I suppose it might not
matter for solo playing (which is all I do), but what about ensemble
playing?

Regards to all,
Leonard Williams
