That's what I do to my mutlritrack recordings, because it gives the
listener the impression that both players are sharing the same
acoustic, that is, sitting on the same stage in the same church.

each have their own stage in their own church; more like pop/studio
recording.
Thanks David. That is a very clear way of putting it.
But of course, panning is a good idea to give a spatial image. Unless
you want the impressions that the players are sitting on each other's
lap.

That looks and sounds terrific! In that situation you would especially
want to make the instruments 'share the same acoustic'.
(How do you stop the build up of 'noise' on each track as you add it?)
