Simply use traditional glue - apply a smear to the fret, quickly put
into position, hold for a few seconds (until the glue gels), wait for a
few minutes and then clean excess glue with a damp cloth...........

   Subject: [LUTE] body fret re-glue
Sorry if this is redundanta^1IA^1ve had trouble getting mail through.
   Wrong
   address?
   Anyway:
Back in the fall there was a discussion about material for body
   frets.
   How about glue?
I just lost (then found) a fret and will need to reattach it. Is
   there a
way to clamp it without removing all my strings? IA^1m thinking of
   keeping
the lute in the case with a weight across the strings at the fret. Is
   this do-able, or even advisable?
   Thanks and regards!
