Slightly off topic - but it seems that Pepys had a problem transporting
Charless II's guitar from Deale to London when he returned to England at the
Restoration.
Pepys' diary for 8th June 1660 reads ...took horses to Deale. I troubled
much with the king's gittar, and Fairbrother, the rogue that I had entrusted
with the carrying of it on foot."
There were probably quite a few baggage handlers in days gone by every bit
as bad as those of Delta airlines.

No. I've also never seen a painting of a lute smashed by Delta baggage
handlers. I don't think even the most expressive artist could capture that
level of anguish. >:-(((
