Dear friends,

Please pass this listing to anybody looking for an affordable Baroque
   lute in good playing condition.

   Cheers,

   Lucas Harris

Fourteen-course baroque lute by Daniel Hachez-Brown, 1977, vibrating
string lengths 69.8cm / 74.3 cm (on bass rider). This is a d-minor
Baroque lute with an `extra' course, a low G for playing BWV 995, etc.
It's an older lute, though a good investment since luthier Jason Petty
recently refurbished it, giving it a great action adjustment and
fitting it to a new custom Kingham case. It has a beautiful, dark tone
and excellent playability. The bowl is in nine ribs of figured maple.
It also features a pierced 'Leonardo knots' rose, parchment lace edge
binding, and a figured exotic wood neck veneer.

The instrument has been appraised at $3500 but I'm now lowering the
asking price to only $3000 USD (or best offer).

The instrument was donated to Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra's student
instrument bank and is currently in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). The
instrument can be transported by car to the LSA seminar in Cleveland or
can be shipped at the buyer's expense (to the USA should come to around
   $200 USD).
